Directions from Huddersfield Train Station
Once you come out of the railway station walk straight across the square. At the end of the square turn right onto John William Street and walk straight ahead until you come to the pedestrian crossing at the Lloyds/TSB bank ahead of you. Continue straight ahead on the crossing to New Street (Nat West bank will be on your right). Turn left onto King Street and continue straight. Turn right onto Queen Street and walk along the pavement passing Lawrence Batley Theatre on your left. Continue to the end of the road and cross using the pedestrian crossing. Continue straight ahead and you will see the University main entrance. The Oastler Building is to the left of the main reception.
By public transport
The University of Huddersfield is less than 10 minutes walk from Huddersfield Train Station or from the Bus Station. Huddersfield Train Station is served by direct trains from Leeds, Sheffield, York, Liverpool, Wakefield and Manchester.
Most buses in Huddersfield terminate at the Bus Station and serve a wide variety of destinations in Huddersfield district as well as West Yorkshire including Dewsbury, Halifax, Wakefield, Bradford, Brighouse and Leeds.
There is no parking available for event participants at the University. If you’re arriving by car, there are town centre car parks nearby. If you need some support with access issues please get in touch.
