Workshops

These lively discussion sessions are at the heart of Notwestminster. Our workshops are all designed by participants. They are a great opportunity to share ideas and learning about how we can work together to make our local democracy better for everyone.

Lightning talks

We’ve asked some of our participants to give a very short Lightning talk on the day. These quick-fire talks are aimed at getting us all thinking about the context for our work together. There’s a live webcast if you can’t be here on the day.

Ideas Bazaar

Our main event finishes with an Ideas Bazaar where you’ll hear ideas created on the day and be able to sign up to work together to try things out. This is a really important part of the day, because Notwestminster is about turning our local democracy discussions into action.

Drinks

The conversation will continue with our after-show drinks.

PechaKucha NightPechaKucha Night – Friday 16th February 2018

On the Friday evening at Notwestminster, you can take part in our special PechaKucha Night. This is an evening of rapid, thought-provoking talks about local democracy and other stuff that interests our participants. Think of it as our hustings and come along to learn something new and be entertained. It’s a fun way to find out what inspires some of our local democracy advocates and to hear about people’s passions and interests.
