Workshops
These lively discussion sessions are at the heart of Notwestminster. Our workshops are all designed by participants. They are a great opportunity to share ideas and learning about how we can work together to make our local democracy better for everyone.
Lightning talks
We’ve asked some of our participants to give a very short Lightning talk on the day. These quick-fire talks are aimed at getting us all thinking about the context for our work together. There’s a webcast if you can’t be here on the day.
Ideas Bazaar
Our main event finishes with an Ideas Bazaar where we’ll share the ideas created on the day and you can make a personal pledge to do something in response, or sign up to work on projects together. This is a really important part of the day, because Notwestminster is about turning our local democracy discussions into action.

Democracy Solutions Day – Friday 14th February 2020, 11am to 4pm

Join us for a local democracy solution sharing day, with an entirely open agenda. This interactive day will be a chance to share any issues you are thinking about, hear about helpful practice from other participants, and unlock some new ideas and possibilities. Hosted by the Notwestminster network. All welcome.

PechaKucha Night – Friday 14th February 2020, from 7pm

On the Friday evening at Notwestminster, you can take part in our special PechaKucha Night. This is an evening of rapid, thought-provoking talks about local democracy and other stuff that interests our participants. Come along to learn something new and be entertained. It’s a fun way to find out what inspires some of our local democracy advocates and to hear about people’s passions and interests.

Friday night Curry
You’re also welcome to join us for beers and curry on Friday night. This is always a great way to meet everyone and we encourage you arrive on the Friday if you can. Anyone who registers for Notwestminster 2020 or our Democracy Solutions Day will receive an invite to the Friday night curry.
